I am still looking for and experimenting for the perfect sugar cookie recipe, everytime i see a sugar cookie recipe i want to try it out! This recipe used for this cookies are from “Sweet Sugar Belle
The cookies came out great but slightly soft it is a good thing but maybe too soft for my liking. Great thing about this recipe is it doesnt need to be chilled before baking. You make the cookie dough and you cut it and bake it. Tadaaa…

  • Butter – 100 gm
  • Eggs-  1
  • Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Vanilla – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon

Chocolate Sauce

  • Milk Chocolate – 50gm
  • Double cream – 2 tablespoons
  • Milk – 1 tablespoon

  • Cream the butter and sugar, until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla to the creamed butter-sugar mixture.
  • Sift in the flour, salt and baking powder to this mixture and mix until completely incorporated.
  • This cookie dough need not be chilled before rolling out, its so light and fluffy.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.
  • Roll out the cookie dough using a rolling pin on a parchment sheet or a marble top.
  • Cut them using a tea bag cookie cutter or  a tag cookie cutter.
  • Line a parchment sheet on the baking tray and line the cookies, bake for about 8-10 minutes.
  • Once baked let it cool on a cooling rack.

Chocolate Sauce

  • Chop the chocolate into small bits and melt it on a double boiler or in the microwave.
  • Add the cream and milk and whisk until completely mixed.
  • Dip the cooled cookies.

  • Sprinkle some confetti or sugar balls for decoration (optional).
  • I made little tags, just search for vintage tea pot clipart. You will find as you like.
  • The cookie cutter is from “Sweet Estelle’s” Its a gift tag cookie cutter.
