Ingredients:
Cookie
- Flour – 180gm
- Icing Sugar – 90gm
- Butter – 100 gm
- Eggs- 1
- Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
- Vanilla – 1 teaspoon
- Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
Chocolate Sauce
- Milk Chocolate – 50gm
- Double cream – 2 tablespoons
- Milk – 1 tablespoon
Method:
Cookie
- Cream the butter and sugar, until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla to the creamed butter-sugar mixture.
- Sift in the flour, salt and baking powder to this mixture and mix until completely incorporated.
- This cookie dough need not be chilled before rolling out, its so light and fluffy.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.
- Roll out the cookie dough using a rolling pin on a parchment sheet or a marble top.
- Cut them using a tea bag cookie cutter or a tag cookie cutter.
- Line a parchment sheet on the baking tray and line the cookies, bake for about 8-10 minutes.
- Once baked let it cool on a cooling rack.
Chocolate Sauce
- Chop the chocolate into small bits and melt it on a double boiler or in the microwave.
- Add the cream and milk and whisk until completely mixed.
- Dip the cooled cookies.
P.s:
- Sprinkle some confetti or sugar balls for decoration (optional).
- I made little tags, just search for vintage tea pot clipart. You will find as you like.
- The cookie cutter is from “Sweet Estelle’s” Its a gift tag cookie cutter.
