Instructions

Chocolate Chip Cookie

  1. In a bowl, add the brown and white sugar.
  2. In a heavy sauce pan, add the butter and let it melt.
  3. Add the melted butter into the bowl with sugar and let it butter and sugar mix thoroughly.
  4. Add egg and vanilla into this mixture.
  5. Sift the flour, baking powder and baking soda into the wet ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips into cookie dough.
  7. For a typical cookie, you scoop out the cookie dough balls and let it chill overnight in the fridge and bake the next day.
  8. But for this skillet cookie, you can just do it the same day.

Dulche de leche filling

  1. If you have store bought/ ready made dulche de leche you can use that, I had some leftover from the previous bake!
  2. You can check out the recipe from my Mother's Day post**

Assembly

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.
  2. I like to line all my pans/ tins no matter what material they are made of.
  3. I lined my skillets with parchment at the bottom.
  4. Add a big scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough and flatten it using a spatula.
  5. Add a scoop of dulche de leche on top of the cookie dough layer.
  6. Add another layer of chocolate chip cookie dough.
  7. Sprinkle more chocolate chips on top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
  9. Serve with a big dollop of ice cream or cream!
  10. Enjoy..
