An amazing adult dessert… fits perfectly into any event… stylish, elegant, rich and damn delicious!!!

Makes about 6 portions
Ingredients:
Devils Food Cake
- Butter – 50gm
- Flour – 60gm
- Dark brown Sugar – 60gm
- Cocoa Powder – 30gm
- Egg -1
- Baking Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Whiskey – 30ml
- Hot espresso – 30ml
Other Ingredients
- Pecans – Handful (toasted and chopped)
- Choco chips- 50gm
- Butterscotch Chips – 50gm
- Heavy Cream/ ice cream/ pouring cream – 100-125ml
Method:
Devils Food Cake:
- Prepare a cake tin about 8 inch. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg in the butter – sugar mix.
- Add the espresso to the mixture.
- Sift in the baking powder, flour and cocoa powder.
- Add the whiskey and mix until thoroughly incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the cake tin and bake for about 20-30 minutes, check from about 25 minutes to see if baked.
- Once baked, let it cool on a cooling rack.
- After the cake is cooled, cut it into small pieces.
Dessert Assembly:
- Layer the dessert cups with a layer of the chopped devils food cake.
- Pour a good helping of the salted whiskey caramel over the chopped cake layer.
- Drop a big dollop of heavy cream/ ice cream/ single cream. I used heavy cream.
- Sprinkle few chopped pecans, butterscotch chips (for some crunch) and few chocolate chips.
- Repeat this once or twice more until the top.
- Sprinkle pecans, butterscotch chips and chocolate chips.
- Serve Chilled.
