still If you do have any Glühwein wine left over, make a quick snack tea snack for your tea 😉 after all the christmas parties!
Ingredients:
Glühwein Madeleine:
- Flour- 50gm
- Sugar – 50gm
- Butter – 50gm
- Egg – 1
- Baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon
- Glühwine – 3 tablespoons
- Red food colouring – 2-3 drops
Dark Chocolate Glaze:
- dark chocolate -50gm (melted)
Method:
Glühwein Madeleine:
- In a small pan, melt the butter gently and once its melted, take it off the heat.
- In a small bowl, beat the egg and sugar.
- Whisk in the Glühwein and red food colouring.
- Add the melted butter into the mix while its still slightly warm
- Sift in the flour and baking powder. Fold into the batter gently.
- Cover the batter and let it rest for a couple of hours or even overnight!
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease the madeleine pan throughly, so ever nook is buttered. Dust it with some flour
- Scoop out to fill half the shells, give the pan a light tap on the table to let the air bubble out.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes. Once baked let it cook.
Dark Chocolate Glaze:
Melt the dark chocolate in a bowl.
Dip the madeleines in the dark chocolate and let it set for 15 minutes. Serve with a cuppa !
