Buttery peanut butter cookies

Jason felt like making some peanut butter cookies and we found a really simple recipe on Sally’s Baking Addiction
This recipe made about 30 cookies.
Ingredients

  • Butter – 125gm
  • Sugar – 50gm
  • Brown sugar – 100gm
  • Smooth Peanut butter – 175gm
  • Egg – 1 large
  • Flour – 140gm
  • Vanilla – 1 teaspoon
  • Baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon

Method

  • Cream the butter, sugar and brown sugar using an electric mixer until light and creamy.
  • Add in the peanut butter and mix. Add the egg and the vanilla.
  • Add the baking powder to the flour and sift the flour into the peanut butter mix. Mix until completely mixed.
  • Chill it for about an hour or two.
  • Once chilled, make the dough into small balls and flatten it on a cookie tray/ baking tray.
  • Preheat the oven to 190 degrees celsius.
  • Bake for about 8-10 minutes.
Once out of oven, let the cookies cool to harden a bit.
They really turned out delicious and super soft, we gobbled them all up in 2 days đŸ™‚
